Halloween Contest Entry
Well, I might as well post this, I suppose.
OK, keep i mind I have no Photoshop (well, GIMP, in this case) training and I did this in a rush (started, finished, and submitted last night)...so it didn't turn out like I pictured in my head...but it's not bad, I suppose. So, uh...be nice.  Anyway, I read about the contest a while back...thought up the idea a week ago...and finally did something about it last night. Guess I just wanted to see if I could do it. Link. |

I love the faint Gwen.
Brings back the mystery of Gwen for Halloween  Took me a while to realise who it was cos its so faint. But very nice subtle effect. The rest of the picture, uh, lets just say the rushed work shows

Yeah, if I'd have started it a week ago like I was planning to, it probably would have worked out better. Especially when I tried the different techniques I had thought up to do the webbing and cocoon...and then had to come up with something else when those didn't work out right or looked quite different from what I imagined.
Oh well. I'll give myself more time next time (sure). I have too many half-finished projects...too many shoulda-coulda-wouldas. I'm just happy I actually finished something. I couldn't think of a better snack for that giant spider than Gwen... |
